A love-letter to atheism

When ignorance prevails, we call for religion
When fearfulness prevails, we call for religion
When insecurity prevails, we call for religion
When self-confidence melts away, we call for religion
When direct proofs are unavailable to us, we call for religion
When primitiveness prevails, we call for religion
When weakness prevails, we call for religion
When helplessness prevails, we call for religion

In all the above cases,
it is not about the evidences or proofs
it is all about baseless emotions, that is why it is called religion
and faith
when we tend to substitute emotion for evidence,
we raise the hue and cry of faith….
Oh, thou unflinching and unwavering faith!

Should we not do away with this lethargy?
With all this reactionary attitude towards everything?
Why call for religion and faith,
when science gives you more reliable and provable answers?
Yes, Science does not know everything — that is true.
But it WANTS to know. It is CURIOUS enough to know!
Science declares: “SAPERE AUDE…”
we respond: in solidarity…

We look at science not merely to make systems after systems…
we like to see and grasp the transformation within…
Science to us is but a product of the movement of history itself…
Thus it has now ceased to be a body of doctrines,
a body of only blind formulas and theories…
It has become revolutionary,
posing the mightiest challenge to religion!

It is not vanity which has turned me into an atheist,
a non-believer…
it is all about the mode of thinking and reasoning..!
Yeah… Religion is the opium of the people…,
Atheism, my love…
